These days, a lot of schools are having events. What is one of the main events? Yes, it''s Sports Day! Many people say Sports Day is fun and exciting. Then let’s investigate it. First, Sports Day started in English. At the end of the 18th century, England’s public and private schools would play sports together. At the end of the Joseon Dynasty, English schools located in Korea would go on picnics. A teacher from England named Mr. Hutchinson created a play day. Then starting from the 20th century, Korea did not have many school events because of foreign influences. After gaining independence, Sports Day became a school event. One of the games that are played in Sports Day is the "throwing hand grenade." Even now, I can hear children yelling. Enjoy your autumn! It will not last long.
