Escaping from the Cruel Civilization 2015-12-30 ¿ÀÀü 10:50:00

Huckleberry Finn, who had an alcoholic and loafer father, has been threatening his life by his father.
He felt risky for his life and disguised that he¡¯s dead, left the house. He ran away with Jim, a banished slave whose owner Watson was about to sell him to the center of southern area where he must do work more painfully.
Huck and Jim traveled by raft along the Mississippi river. They became closer and depend on each other.
However, since the raft was broken by a steamship, they were separated but they met again.
During that adventure, they experienced diversity of society, generosity, and sometimes cruel and abnormal flanks which is ridiculous and dangerous.
Along the way, they understood each other and Jim taught Huck that human should be treated fairly and respected.
In last of the story, Huck has known that Jim¡¯s owner Watson had relieved Jim.
Finally Huck has planned to go to Indian land, leaving the civilized Society.

In my opinion, Samuel Clemens, who is more literally known as Mark Twain, author of this book was about to tell the society Fair and Humanity to people.
Considering the times that this novel was written, it was generation right after the Civil War, the hottest times that the U.S was growing rapidly and industrially.
Through that situation, the story is generally telling the adventure with money, and slavery sides. Huck did the great role of viewing the secular and cruel sides of adults¡¯ world.
I think that today is not different from those days. Under the capitalism, Someone gets their bellies bigger, and someone gets hurts and pain even if they work hard. At the end, Finn left U.S and has gone to the Indian land.
Maybe this would show the real humanism which is free from secular to the real freedom.
