South Korea and Australia met in the Asian Cup Finals in Sydney, on 2/1, to decide who was to be crowned champion of Asia. It was a very thrilling and nerve-wrecking soccer game as it decided on who was to be crowned the final champion and trophy of the tournament. The tournament ended after a score of 2- 1. After the game, there was an enormous celebration in the country. Australia’s first goal was made by James Troisi in the first period of extra time. South Korea’s first goal was made by Son Heung-Min in extra time with a late equalizer. He shot a goal past Mat Ryan in the first minute of injury time that completely stunned the crowd. Finally, the last goal made by Australia became the decisive goal of this tournament. In the first half, South Korea came close before the break. However, in the second half, Massimo Luongo made a goal in the 45th minute. Both South Korea and Australia have made painstaking efforts to come to the finals. South Korea made it to the final of this competition for the first time in 27years, and the teams’ hopes were very high. Whereas for Australia, they made it to the finals four years ago. Therefore, they were confident of winning on their homeland.
