You might be wondering, ¡®What good are newspapers? I prefer to watch TV news.¡¯ However, newspapers are not boring. Actually, Newspapers gave hope to people in the Japanese Ruling Era. In this article, I will tell about the History of Korea¡¯s newspapers.

In 1883, Korea¡¯s very first newspaper, ¡®Hansung Sunbo¡¯ was published and delivered once every 10 days. However, in 1884, it was burnt and stopped publishing. So, Hansung Jubo took its place. However, Hansung Jubo also stopped published in 1888. Another newspaper is called The Independent, but nowadays people call it Moon Sin Rip Dok, because in old times people read from right to left. This newspaper told people about what the government was doing. It was published in April 7th. That is why newspapers day is in April 7th.
