The 13th typhoon, Lingling, caused great damage to our country.
Lingling's central air pressure was 974 hPa, maximum wind speed was 76 km, and a wind radius of 250 km.
Lingling was named after a Hong Kong girl, but unlike her name, it had caused great damage to the west coast and Jeolla provinces.
The reason why typhoons frequently occur and become more powerful in recent fall is because of the increasing temperature of sea level
Sea level temperature in typhoon-caused waters is sometimes the hottest in September. It gets hot all summer and then peaks in early September. Therefore, typhoons that pass through the hottest waters of the year can only be strong if there are no special variables that can counteract that power. Also, the intensity of the typhoon is getting bigger because of global warming. Therefore, more global efforts are needed to prevent further global warming.
