North and South Korea Summit: Successful Start of Peace in Korea Peninsula

Starting from the Pyeongchang Winter Olympic to inter-Korea summit on April 27th, our diplomacy aiming for a peace in Korean peninsula is estimated as successful. The agreement between two leaders dealt with a wide range of diplomatic issues such as complete denuclearization, economic support, interchange between two countries and so on.

Though it is undeniable that there are a lot of steps remaining from now on in order to perfectly accomplish all the goals of this agreement, it is also true that this summit opened the possibility of peace in Korean peninsula and take the whole world back from the nuclear threat. Clearly, this historical summit deeply touched citizens in South Korea with a dream of a reunification and a permanent peace.

The two leaders expressed their opinions unambiguously on the nuclear issue, both agreeing on complete and permanent denuclearization. Now, remaining tasks for two leaders would be building up concrete and detailed steps to actually reach the goal of denuclearization. Also, it is important to try to get an extensive support from the neighboring countries and international society so that they can keep pursuing what they aim to do without any obstacles. Hoping for a successful convert of North and South Korea relationship to a peaceful and complementary relationship, we as one of citizens should also support and keep a thorough eye on a whole process.
