Let Girls Learn 2016-07-11 ¿ÀÈÄ 7:39:00

We feel natural about girls going to school because it seems so obvious. We think that everyone has the right to be educated. But actually, there are 62 million girls who don¡¯t have the chance to be educated. In Nigeria, hundreds of young girls were kidnapped as they prepared for their final exams at boarding school. In Pakistan, a girl was shot for insisting she and her friends have the right to learn. There are various reasons for this but for whatever reason, all girls in the world have the right to learn and dream about their future.

Barack Obama, the president of the United States, announced the launch for ¡®Let Girls Learn¡¯ program on the ¡®International Women¡¯s Day¡¯. ¡®Let Girls Learn¡¯ is a campaign for 62 million girls who cannot go to school and ultimately a project to provide equal opportunities for education and make a fair, happy world. According to the speech of Barack Obama, there are several of reasons why so many girls can¡¯t go to school from extreme poverty to men who do not let girls learn. Despite these terrible barriers of reality, the girls still have hope for living a better life. Barack Obama insists that we have to try hard and help their dreams come true. Michelle Obama, the first lady of the United States, took action to disseminate ¡®Let Girls learn¡¯. She went to Cambodia to talk to girls who are not losing their hope to learn even living in a poor. She listened to the girls¡¯ difficulties and cheered them up to never give up. Many stars are also supporting Michelle Obama and ¡®Let Girls Learn¡¯ project. Anne Hathaway, Alicia Keys, Susan Sarandon are claiming for the rights for girls to learn.

A threat to girls¡¯ education is a threat to progress everywhere. All girls should have the freedom to learn. It¡¯s time to unlock their potential, it¡¯s time to let them learn.
