An American scientist has created a new type of paper book. The book teaches people about the important benefits of drinking clean water. After being torn out, the book’s pages are used as water filters. The scientist calls it The Drinkable Book. It has been designed for places where the water in the countries are not clean, polluted and contaminated with chemicals that can lead to many affects on children.

The book’s pages are made with the use of nano technology. This is the science of working with things at the level of their atoms and molecules. Inside the pages are tiny molecules of silver ions which make bacteria's affect completely harmless. The World Health Organization states that many people die each year because of the poor water they receive. They also stated that these water filter 'Drinkable Books' are going to be a revolutionary item for water purification.
