The Student Mentoring System has been started at Chowor High school (which is in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province). It is new education system for students, not by teachers but students, their friends. The student who want to be a mentor, he or she needs to make a group of three. After the group is made, they have to decide the days and time that they may meet to study together. And the mentor prepares his or her own material to teach the mentees. Usually they meet at after school.
The school enforced this system because they thought that teaching is learning again. In quality, the mentoring is helping both students who teaches and learns. The student who is the one of the mentors said “Mentoring System is really helpful even to me who is teaching. I can find what I didn’t know before when my mentee asks.” Also there was one of the mentees. She said “It is economically great! I couldn’t go to any private educational institute because it’s too expensive. These days I’m so glad to ask what I don’t know to my own mentor.” Mentoring System is helping student to study more drastically and economically by just talking each other, who is just your friends. The school is actively conducting Student Mentoring System for Student because of those advantages.
