Wax Museum 2014-10-12 ¿ÀÈÄ 9:36:00

In American schools, schools try their best to give children various educational opportunities. In our school, an event was held to let third graders learn. This event was the Wax Museum event. In a normal wax museum, sculptures are made of wax and are displayed in cases. However, in our school's wax museum, third graders became the wax models displayed in the museum; they dressed up as prominent figures in history. If people came near them, then they suddenly became alive and told their stories in life.
In social studies class, students learned about historical figures. Then, students researched about them and wrote a report. They thought in the figures' perspective and wrote an autobiography of the historical figures. Students edited each others' autobiographies and learn how to write reports. They also had to give oral reports in front of the class, and learned how to give oral presentations and how to think in others' shoes. Finally, students also improved their research skills. Though it seemed like a small experience, students actually learned a lot from the experiences.
