Myung Ryang is a sea battle that Lee Soon Shin fought with the Japanese. It became a movie and its audiences numbered over 16,000,000. I think this movie was made because our nation is instable about Sewol and other things, so they wanted to make our nation be one again.
Also, this movie is kind of violent, so it is not good for children. However, there were some famous lines, which were "I have 12 ships left" and "When you try to die, you would live and when you try to live you would die" both of which Lee Soon Shin said.
The Myung Ryang battle was the best battle that we fought because we had 12 ship and the Japanese had 330 ships but we won! I loved the scene that when Lee Soon Shin had burned their house. It meant they have no place to go back to, so they fight at the risk of their life. Also, the people pulled Lee Soon Shin's ship from the whirlwind and it was safe. I think the people loved and respected Lee Soon Shin, so saved him from the whirlwind.
Even though I am so young I know the social system of Korea- sinkholes, Sewol, and military crime - and I think that someone like Lee Soon Shin could be the leader and clean this society up and make Korea into a peaceful land.
