Both adults and children can be victims of eating disorders. Children, especially during their teen years have a high possibility of getting eating disorders as it a period of time where they have frequent mood changes and are sensitive over what they eat. Symptoms of eating disorders would be overeating, anxiety over weight, losing control of your diet, excessive stress over gaining and losing weight, and eating unusually large amounts of food.
Celebrities, models, athletes, body builders would be closely connected with the symptoms of this disease as their job relates to controlling their diet. Getting overly obsessed with weight, looks, taste, diets can lead up to eating disorders which can eventually be hazardous to your health. To come to think of what is prior and what is worth of more value we should be able to make rightful decisions for ourselves. However, other outside factors hinder us to making the wrong decisions and getting into bad habits which could change our lifestyle patterns.
Eating disorders are easily treatable illnesses. They usually come along with other illnesses such as depression, substance abuse, and anxiety disorders. To overcome this illness, you would need to make much efforts based on your will. Medication and treatments are not the ways you can overcome this disease. It starts from you.
