Nowadays, we can see many people wear the masks. And there are canard about this. It is Mers.
People all over the world afraid of MERS. Mers is the abbreviation of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome. The reason of Mers, MERS-CoV was discovered in the Saudi Arabia on September 12th, 2012. Incubation period of MERS is at least of 2 days and maximum is 2 weeks. Syptoms of Mers are cough, fever, and dyspnoea. First cause of MERS was camel. Among the people, virus is infect by spit, but contagiousness in Korea is too strong than know for it so some people says it can be mutant of MERS-CoV which can infect by air. Fiducially to June 14th, 145 people infected to Mers and 15 people died because of Mers. Fetality of Mers in Korea is 10.3 percent. Actually, Korea has good health system. However, not only World Health Origination but also many people were surprised because Korea is second place about the number of Mers infectees. Korea has good health services, but why there are so many infectees? Experts say Government's insufficient action can be take possession of the reason of situation degenerate.

First, government open the data to the public to late. Beginning of the MERS situation, sanitation authority was opened the data only to the medical teams because when they open the data to the public, it can make anxiety and misunderstand. But most of citizens was showed negative responces to sanitation authority's announcement. This announcement is the cause of infectees increase, because people don't know infectee visit what hospital and they go to the hospital that infectee visitied. Finally, they infect MERS from the hospital. It makes a lots of third-order suscept infectees. In June 4th, Park Won-soon, the mayor of Seoul did emergency briefing because the infectee was visit to the big event which 1500 people participate. He said he will command this situation personally and open the data that which hospitals are exposed to MERS. Following this, the sanitation authority opened the data to public on June 8th.
Second, government and president didn't care about MERS. May 20th was the day which first MERS patient was reported. However, Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention progressed athletics competition and there was direction to when someone ask about the athletics competition, answer we ended all process yesterday. Moreover, in June 1st, the president talk about MERS first but she said the number of infectees wrong -right number was 18, but she said 15- . These activities were cause of big controversy.
Third, there are no proper control tower. When the first person dead by MERS, there were no one to take responsibility for this situation. The president was at the event in Gwangju, and people in the sanitation authority were go on other country to training. There was no control tower. Also, until today, there are five MERS action organizations, but we can't know these organizations do what works and where is the control tower. In the government, they don't know who is the top manager of the control tower, too. Some people says the top manager is the president, and other says acting prime minister is the top manager of control tower.
Last, government don't do manage isolated patient properly. There is no law about prevent and manage infectious disease, so government can't do execution by legal process even the infectees move around in the hospital. When infectee refuse to isolted, government can give fine, but they can't make isolated them forcibly. Also, isolated patients have diffitulties about necessaries because they can not go out, so these people request to acquaintance or wear the mask and go to the market in secret. Government don't give any money to patients even the family's living going to hard when there is infectee.

When the late Kim Seon-il was kidnaped and murdered by Al-Qaeda, the president of now, president Park says "When the nation can not protect citizens, that is not a nation. Noh Mu-hyeon is not qualitified for president and I can't apologize him." Today, many citizens recall this comment. Isn't she apologize herself? Please repeat intention again and act this situation properly.
