The fury of Mother Nature 2018-10-28 ¿ÀÈÄ 9:47:00

Summer¡¯s hot, nobody can deny it. But, you can notice that summer is getting unusually hot. Many people spent this summer with their fans and air conditioners, and they were still sweating. Because of the temperature, from 1991 to 2011 in Korea, the heat waves caused 442 deaths. That is 21 people dying in one year because of those heat waves. So what is behind this hot weather? Global warming. Because of it, many changes are happening in Korea, all bad ones, like Korea having a subtropical climate.

So, why do those heat waves happen? Well, as the temperature gets hotter, the air gets more water vapor, and as that hot air goes higher, the anticyclone gets stronger. So, at day, the sun shines strongly and gets hot, and at night, because of the hot water vapor and the heat island effect, it does not become any cooler. if this happens again and again, days when the highest temerature is 33 degrees will become 50 days. For 30 years, the average was 10 days. That is 5 times higher. also, the heat waves will not only happen at July and August, it will happen from May to September. So when it becomes 2050, people who are older then 65 will be many, so 250 people could die in one year.

So, I just gave you one example of global warming. There are plenty more. To stop the fury of mother nature, we should act now and quickly, or we could be dead by the end of the 21 century.
