International Day 2014-11-08 ¿ÀÈÄ 10:08:00

In schools of foreign countries including international schools and schools in America and Great Britain, many students of different nationalities attend the school. The student body is ethically diverse; students from Asia, Africa, Europe, South and North America, Asian Americans, African Americans, Hispanics, and other races. Inevitably, the school faces many conflicts and differences regarding culture. Students sometimes cannot understand each others' culture and fight, and schools need to provide an opportunity for every student to understand each other. In order to do this, schools have a special day called International Day. International Day is a day which all students meet together and do cultural activities. A country is chosen, and the theme is focused on that country. Students first come to school wearing their countries' traditional clothing. For lunch, different countries' food are set up in different booths; one can taste various types of food such as Korean, American, Japanese and even Dutch. Of course, the students' mothers help prepare the food. Also, students' can experience various cultural activities. In special booths, students can play games and experience others' culture. Finally, most International Days end with performances, which is the best part. Students from different countries perform different things onstage. Students sing songs in their own language and perform their home countries' play or material arts. After the day ends, students go home, relishing the memories.
