One of the famous world festival, Venezia Carnival started in1268.
Nowadays, it starts two weeks before from Lent.
Venezia Carnival was started to celebrate victory against Aquileia.
You can enjoy many events like Maria contest(Festa delle Marie), advent of angel(Volo dell' angelo), beautiful mask contest(La maschera piu bella), cut the bull neck(Tagilo della testa al toro, bur it is now disappeared). If you want to see another event, than we can see the parade, musical performance or we can enjoy the masquerade too.
During the festival, we can see various kinds of colorful and fancy masks.
So, Venezia Carnival's another name is mask festival.
