On may 27th, the official website of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) presented 9 executives of FIFA, and international football association. These 9 individuals, including current and former vice president of FIFA, were accused and arrested for their huge corruptions and bribery. The FBI had announced that after secretly investigating this organization, they have tracked down several definite proofs of bribery. To be specific, they have found corruptions in the process of selecting the host for 2010, 2018 and 2022 World Cup and in the negotiation for the broadcasting rights. As a result, 9 executives of FIFA were arrested and the president of FIFA, Sepp Blatter ended his career.
Now the remaining task for FIFA and the global football society is to reconsider the selected hosts for 2018 and 2022 World Cup. Plus, transparent election for the next FIFA president is also essential. It is time for FIFA to reconstruct their managerial and advance to a better organization.
